K2K Record: Riding 3,650 kms In 115 Hours On Gearless Scooters For A Good Cause

Four friends (three of ’em on automatic scooters) rode from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to raise awareness about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. They rode for over 3,650 kms in 115 hours on their gearless scooters to set a new record of ‘Unique Kashmir To Kanyakumari Moto-Scooters & Bike Ride’.

Prashant Solanki, along with his friends Shubham Gaur, Rishabh Madaan, Deepak Singhal, aimed to spread awareness about Clean India, Green India Mission. For the ride, Solanko rode a Aprilia SR150, Gaur brought along a TVS Jupiter while Singhal came on a Honda Activa 125. Madaan was the only one in the group, riding a proper motorcycle, a Bajaj Pulsar RS200.

The ride kicked-off from Delhi on October 29, 2017 at 10:30 PM for Banihal and was concluded in Kanyakumari on November 5, 2017. Riders took stamps from Police Station as a proof for the World Record Registration.

In total, the riders covered over 9,500 kms through ride in 21 days which works out to about 452.3 km per day. The longest stretch they covered was from Agra to Hyderabad which is about 1,334 km. The Agra-Hyderabad ride took about 36 hours time.

Solanki and Gaur now plan to ride to Umling La Pass on 25th, May.
