Propelling the Mercedes-AMG GT R is a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine that produces 585 hp at 6250 rpm and 700 Nm of torque between 1900-5500 rpm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a Speedshift DCT 7-speed sports transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The model can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 3.6 seconds, all the way up to a top speed of 318 kmph.

Coming to the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster, the model sources power from the same 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine as seen on the AMG GT-R. This engine, however, has been tuned to produce a power output of 476 hp at 6000 rpm and 630 Nm of torque between 1700-5000 rpm. This engine enables the AMG GT Roadster to cover the 0-100 kmph run in 4.0 seconds, all the way up to an electronically limited top speed of 302 kmph.

Feature wise, the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster comes equipped with a Panamericana grille, Ride Control sports suspension, AirScarf, Draught stop, red seat belts, exterior chrome package and an AMG specific steering wheel in black Dinamica microfiber with top- stitching. The soft-top of the AMG GT Roadster can be opened or closed in 11 seconds up to speeds of 50 kmph.

Mercedes-Benz also offers customizations for both the model under the Designo platform. The platform offers a host of individualization options to choose from including exclusive paint finishes, high quality interior appointments and a variety of trims and features.

Speaking on the occasion, Roland Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “We are excited to pursue the 50 Years Of AMG celebrations in India, and what better way to celebrate it than by introducing the Beast of the Green Hell – the Mercedes-AMG GT R and the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster.
