It seems buying a Honda car will become slightly expensive from next year. Honda Cars India has announced a proposed price increase on all its models of upto 3 percent. The revised prices will be effective from January 2017. Honda officials are citing increasing pressure on input costs and fluctuating exchange rates for the hike in prices.
Speaking about this price hike, Yoichiro Ueno, President and CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd. said that due to the increasing pressure on input costs and fluctuating exchange rates, the Company is forced to consider increasing the car prices across the product line-up. The increased price will be effective from first week of January 2017.
The company’s product range includes Honda Brio, Honda Jazz, Honda Amaze, Honda Mobilio, Honda City, Honda BR-V, Honda CR-V and the recently launched all new Honda Accord Hybrid.
