Couple of days ago, Elon Musk led Tesla Motors launched their all new affordable offering – the Tesla Model 3. While the new Model 3 has garnered a lot of attention and over 2,76,000 reservations, its elder brother is also making news with its stunts. To further promote the new Tesla, the electric car maker has come together with Australia’s well-known airlines. The aim of both the brands is to promote each other’s products.
Tesla Motors and Qantas Airlines have released a video of their vehicle and aircraft going head on with each other for a race at the Avalon Airport, SouthWest of Melbourne, Australia. Tesla employs their Ludicrous equipped Model S P90D and Qantas gets their Boeing 737 to the runway for a competition. Both the companies are working together to drive innovation for their customers and sustainability in the transport industry.
Before we go to the video, here are some speed specs of the Tesla Model S P90D. The Ludicrous powered Model S P90D provides a range of 407km (EPA rating). The top speed of this Electric vehicle is 250kmph and it can go from 0 to 100km in just 2.8 seconds. The max torque delivered by the motor is a massive 966 Nm and the power output is 524 Bhp and 456 Bhp at the rear and front respectively.
