We keep repeating that Honda has become really serious for its Indian innings. The Activa has done a world of good to the Indian operations of Japanese. The Dream Yuga too has been giving a tough time to the popular rivals from Hero MotoCorp and now it has emerged that the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese bike maker is planning to launch a maxi scooter in Indian market.
It is being guessed that Honda might bring the PCX150 to India. The Honda PCX150 is powered by a 152cc liquid cooled-fuel injected four stroke engine that pumps out a peak power output of 13.5 Bhp and a peak torque rating of 14 Nm. The PCX150 comes equipped with telescopic shock absorbers and a front disc brake.
The Honda PCX150 sports a CVT transmission and Honda claims a fuel economy of 43 Kmpl. The PCX150 tips the scale at 130kgs, which is quite light for a 150cc maxi-scooter.
The Honda PCX150 India launch could be scheduled for mid 2013 and the maxi scoot will come with a price tag of around INR 75k.
