Bajaj Auto has been going great guns since the KTM alliance churning out competitions scorchers with the KTMs and the new age Pulsars. But it was high time that the 150s and the 180s saw a serious upgrade in the face of the competition and it was until the test mules were spy spotted on numerous occasions.
And though the Pulsar 180NS numbers still remain a secret, the Bajaj Pulsar 150NS technical specifications have been leaked. All thanks to Turkish forum MotoSiklet who alongwith a few images have managed to disclose the much awaited specs of the new Pulsar 150NS.
So here it is- no worries if you can’t get everything of it, we’re explaining every bit below the table.
And here’s the translation from our side. The 2015 Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS will be powered by a 4 valve 149.5cc single cylinder air cooled engine cranking out a punchy 17 ps @ 9000 rpm with maximum torque of 13 nm @ 7500 rpm. And though we would have expected a six speed transmission here, the new Pulsar 150NS manages with a 5 speed gearbox.
Cranking options are provided by way of both the electric and kick start. Tyre specs read 80/100-17 at the front with 100/90-17 at the rear. L x W x H dimensions are 2105, 800 and 1220 with wheelbase set at lengthier 1363 mm. Fuel tank capacity is similar to the 200NS at 12 litres. The total package held together by a perimeter frame weighs 144 kgs.
17ps for a 150cc does make a delightful read and the new Pulsar 150NS trumps or equals every other 150cc except for the CBR150R that produces 17.6ps- but matches the likes of the Yamaha R15 and the TVS RTR180.
Now that should get everyone excited- except the competition.
