Honda launches Dream Yuga 110 @ INR 44642

Only a few days ago, we posted about Japanese bike maker Suzuki launching the Hayate commuter motorcycle. Now, the entry level bike segment has become even hotter with the launch of Dream Yuga motorcycle from Jap giant Honda.

We reported in detail when Honda unveiled the 110cc Dream Yuga at the Auto Expo held in January. The Dream Yuga borrows the body from 125cc Shine and the motor from the CB Twister.  The 110cc motor is mated to a 4 speed ‘box the motor delivers 8.5 bhp. Honda claims a fuel efficiency figure of 72kmpl and we are not surprised. Honda is offering an option of electric start but the sad bit is that no disc brake is on offer.

The Dream Yuga 110 goes on sale with a price tag of INR 44,642* for the base model. The mid and top end versions come with a price tag of INR 46,134* and INR 48,125* respectively. The pricing, in typical Honda fashion, commands a considerable premium over rivals from other manufacturers.

Recently, Bajaj launched the Discover 100 4G and Suzuki has introduced the Hayate to the market at an aggressive price point. It remains to be seen if the new Honda manages to gain some strong share in the market even on coming at a not so competent price.
