This is yet another addition to the list of modified cars in India. Car enthusiasts seem to have a thing for the Thar and so we find weekly updates in our inbox about modified version of the SUV from Mahindra. As mentioned here is another piece of arty Thar created by Abhishek Somani. The guy took almost two years and spent near around INR 10 Lakhs to get this Thar on its wheels; he calls it the Archer-Muscle Truck Concept. Have a look!

Abhishek has sent us the in-depth details of his creation which are as follows –
Exterior work
- No alteration to the chassis and front windscreen
- Full body re-fabricated using sheet metal by skilled labor
- Roof line lowered by 6″ appx
- OEM type bonnet and boot with strengthening frame inside
- Bonnet height increased by 10″ appx
- Width of car increased by 6″ appx
- Door length increased by 6″ appx
- Custom door handle for opening (exterior)
- Larger ORVMs
- Door glass, sunroof glass (fixed) and rear windscreen re-fabricated using toughened glass
- Changed bonnet to front opening
- Boot opens up in two parts – open up and drop down
- Custom designed bumpers (front and rear)
- Rock slider type foot stepper
- Custom paint job (matte finish)
- Engine bay insulation
Interior work
- Dashboard redesigned in metal (driver centric) genuine leather (black)
- New seats (height adjustable)

The Archer is a package that has been put with a lot of interesting bits onboard, but there are some that could be avoided. Even if it is wrapped in all fabricated metal sheets it still does look like it is out of the Lego factory; to each his own.
