Commenting on the budget Raja added, “It is a positive budget that caters to individuals as well as corporates. We are happy with the reduction of custom duty on raw materials/components. However, we were hoping to receive a reduction in the excise duty as well which would have further facilitated the industry to get back on the trajectory path. As a part of the budget the Govt will allocate funds for the development of greener electric cars, we will study this in detail to understand its implication on developing alternative fuel vehicles and promoting hybrid as a technology in India.”
