The Tata Zest received 10K bookings within 20 days of its launch.
Tata’s sub 4 meter compact sedan offering, the Zest has managed to amass 10K bookings within just 20 days of it’s launch, indicating a promising response at the box office. Ranjit Yadav, president of passenger vehicle business unit, tweeted that: “Delighted that @TataZest already has an order pipeline of 10k+ for next 2months.”
“TataZest Revotron petrol variants have a waiting period of 4-6 weeks and 3 months for diesel AMT, ” Yadav added.
The Zest will battle it out against some already winning stalwarts like the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, the Honda Amaze and the Hyundai Xcent. In a bid to clear up the mess that Tata Motors’ passenger car division has been in lately, the Zest was launched, and will be followed by the Bolt hatchback which is expected early next year.
The Tata Zest is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron engine that churns out 90 PS of power and 140Nm of torque. The diesel engine on the other hand is the familiar 1.3-litre Quadrajet unit which comes in two power variants – 75PS of power with 190NM of torque and 90PS of power and 200Nm of torque.
