Video- MTT Y2K at the Valley Run 2013

The MTT Turbine Superbike, which is popularly known as the Y2K, enjoys a huge fan base and has to be among the most intimidating of all the bikes on this planet.

The Y2K is powered by a Rolls-Royce-Allison Model 250 turboshaft engine that has a max power figure of 320 hp@ 52,000 rpm (yes we are as dumbstruck!). The Y2K is not the first jet engine powered bike. However, unlike in other such motorcycles, where the engine provides thrust to push the motorcycle forward, the turboshaft engine of the Y2K drives the rear wheel.

We recently reported in detail about the The Valley Run 2013 that was held in Aamby Valley City in Lonavala last weekend. The Y2K was among the star attractions of the event and made the audience go ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ over its display of performance.

Seen here is an exclusive video of the Y2K, shot during the short display that was put up for us media folks.

ENJOY!
