Jaguar F-Type is a hot convertible coupe. But in this case it turned out to hotter than required. A black Jaguar F-Type caught fire in Germany.  The incident occurred on Monday morning when a 26-year-old driver heard an explosion under the hood before the flames became visible. Luckily, the driver managed to stall the car on the side of the road before escaping unhurt.

Reports suggest that the car had just clocked nearly 5,000kms on the ODO. The original cause behind the accident is still unknown. The owner will suffer a total loss as the car has burnt beyond saving point.

The base variant of the Jaguar F-Type, with a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine, produces 340 PS while the top-of-the-line V8S develops 550 PS for the Coupe, and 495 PS for the convertible version from a 5.0-litre supercharged V8.
