Italian motorcycle brand Ducati has launched the updated Panigale V4, V4 S, and the V4 SP2. The prices are set at ₹ 26.49 lakh for the V4, ₹31.99 lakh for V4 S, and ₹40.99 lakh for the V4 SP2. Ducati has increased the price by almost ₹3 lakh for V4 while the V4S gets a hike of ₹3.5 lakh. However, the increased price comes with more features in terms of mechanicals and technology.

In terms of performance, the already present power modes- high and medium are now joined by the additional modes of full and low. As per the company, the roadgoing Ducati offers the sportiest power mode with no electronic limitations except the first gear, while the below mode is to improve accessibility by limiting peak power to 150hp. The aerodynamics of these bikes has also gotten worked upon and now offer the same downforce with a lower weight.
In terms of other noticeable changes, the Panigale’s engine now comes with a new oil pump. With larger exhaust exits, this 1,103cc engine of Pinagale now produces 215.5 hp (up from 214hp) at 13,000 rpm and 123.6 nm at 9,500 rpm (down slightly from 124Nm). The top speed has also been increased by 5 km/h with much longer first, second, and sixth gears. The fuel tank also gets enlarged, providing a capacity of 17 liters. Although the India-spec version of V4 SP2 will be missing out on Stylema R calipers and will continue to work on the same Stylema calipers as the standard Panigale V4 and V4S.
The Panigale V4 SP2 which is a limited edition also offers additional features such as machine adjustable footpegs and levers, a 520 chain, a dry clutch which is borrowed from Ducati’s WSBK race bike, and a Brembo MCS radial master cylinder. It also features a ‘Winter Test’ livery which is exclusive for the V4 SP2 and gets a matte black finish with red accents and a bare metal tank. Other features include the Italian flag on the winglets and 0.9 kg lighter forged magnesium wheels than V4S. Other exclusive features of V4 SP2 are Ducati Data Analyser and Lap Timer with GPS as standard which is offered as an optional feature for standard V4 and V4S.
