A few months back, Ola teased its first electric car which it started working upon. The brand has already tasted success with its S1 Pro electric scooter and it is already set to move to the next level with its electric car. Ola has revealed that its gigafactory will be expanded to produce around 1 million cars a year and that the factory can produce six different models on two platforms. What we know so far
The upcoming EV by Ola gets a curvy and sportscar-like design. The LED light bar in the front gets an illuminated Ola logo and an LED light bar that runs across the hood of the car. It also gets large vents on each corner of the front bumper. The electric car will have an all-glass roof and a coupe-like roofline which will help it in achieving a drag coefficient of 0.21 Cd.

The rear gets a LED light bar that connects the taillamps. Since this is an early teaser, expect a lot of design elements and details to change when the car reaches production. Ola claims that the EV will do 0-100 km/h in under 4 seconds and deliver a claimed range of more than 500km on a single charge. The EV will feature assisted driving capabilities which means that it will get autonomous driving technology. It will also feature keyless and handleless doors. The EV will be powered by Ola’s MoveOS software and expect a large touchscreen in the interior to control all the functions of the car.

Since it’s too early to tell, we do not know about the expected price range or the kind of rivals Ola’s electric car will go up against. Ola is currently developing its own Li-ion batteries in India and it may be possible for Ola to use its own battery packs for its first electric car as well.
