Upcoming Mahindra 110cc scooter spotted again

It was back in late last year, when it emerged that Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd (MTWL), one of the latest players in Indian Two Wheelers industry, is busy readying an all-new 110cc automatic scooter (codename- G101) that will go on sale in the second half of 2014. The upcoming Mahindra 110cc scooter has just been spotted again and here are some details of the upcoming model.

The upcoming Mahindra 110cc automatic scooter is currently in its final pre-production stages and the soon to be launched model will be promoted as a full size family scooter, like the Honda Activa and the more powerful Suzuki Access. From whatever can be seen in the spy images, the upcoming model would boast of handlebar mounted clear lens headlight, and a set of vertically mounted front indicators on the front apron. The upcoming Mahindra 110cc automatic scooter will get wide rear view mirrors that should provide decent rear visibility. Also on offer seems to be a broad floorboard.

It is highly likely that the overall styling of the upcoming scooter would be conservative in nature  and the new Mahindra scooter will be powered by a four-stroke, air-cooled engine that will have a displacement of around 110cc. This engine would be a re-tuned version of the same motor that powers the Mahindra Centuro, which is easily the most successful MTWL product ever. Suspension duties will be from telescopic forks up front and a single hydraulic shock bolted to the rear. The scooter will ride on pressed steel wheels.

As we’ve been saying, the upcoming Mahindra 110cc scooter will be launched some months later from now and could be followed by the Mahindra Mojo 300 Launch.
