Only a day before its global unveil, Skoda has released a teaser video of the new 2015 Superb. Skoda has released a number of teaser images for the car earlier this month. The 2015 Skoda Superb will be officially unveiled tomorrow (17th Feb) in Prague.
The teaser video starts by showing the original Superb model introduced way back in 1934 which represented Skoda’s first model to get a V8 engine and all-wheel drive. The flagship model from the Czech carmaker is all set to reach its fourth generation which will bring a significant makeover while underneath the skin will be an entirely different car since the 2015 Skoda Superb will be based on the Volkswagen Passat B8.
Drawing heavy inspirations from the VisionC concept showcased last year, the new 2015 Superb will be larger than any other car of its segment, presenting itself as the most spacious car in the category. Skoda is calling the new limo the “best Skoda ever”, raising the expectations from a car which is already known to over-deliver. For the new gen model, Skoda has made away with the dual release mechanism of its boot to adopt a notchback shape and will feature a boot capacity of 625 liters. The expansive cabin of the car will benefit immensely from the 80mm increase in the wheelbase, and make it fit to create a small football ground for the kids inside the cabin. Inspite of the added length, the new gen model will be lighter than the outgoing model by 75-80 kg.
