We reported in June when Hyundai unveiled the 2015 Solaris for Russia. The Solaris for Russia is nothing but the Verna sedan for us. Now, Hyundai has commenced the testing of the new 2015 Verna in India and the car has been spotted on test in Chennai.

The new 2015 Hyundai Verna has been already revealed couple of months ago as aforementioned, and features new headlamps, new grille and a new front bumper. The additon of fog lamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps add character to the sculpted front portion. At the rear, the car gets LED based tail lamps. The rear bumper gets new reflectors and a black bumper insert.

On the interior front, the 2015 Hyundai Verna seen in the official photos here features the all-black cabin cockpit for the Russian car market, unlike the beige interiors which will be offered in the India spec Hyundai Verna. For the Russian market, Hyundai has equipped the car with a 6 speed automatic and manual gearboxes with the 1.6 liter four pot petrol mill. While the current model gets a outdated 4 speed automatic transmission, Hyundai could bring the 6 speed box when it will be launching this model in the Indian market.

Hyundai sells the Verna in Russia only with the petrol motor. Since the diesel Verna isn’t on sale in the Russian market, not much details are available about the cogs available on the diesel engine’s transmission. The Hyundai Verna is currently the only sedan to get an automatic transmission with a diesel engine and will soon find a rival in the facelifted Vento which will get a DSG box with the diesel motor. Further details will be brought to you as soon as we have some concrete information from our sources.

The 2015 facelift is very nice but one good thing is Hyundai have not touched its awesome fluidic design since 2011 . The design is very appealing and to some it is indeed far better than the city expeciaaly with broad tyres.

A powerful car and with the much improved suspension and steering , it is right up there with Honda City if not better.
