TVS Racing has extended its reign in Indian motorsport, securing its 11th straight “Manufacturer and Team Championship” titles in the Pro Stock up to 165cc category at the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) 2024. The victory was powered by the Apache RTR 165 RP, marking another successful season for the team. In addition, TVS claimed its 6th “Team Championship” and 4th “Manufacturer Championship” titles in the Pro Stock 300-400cc category with the Apache RR310.
The team’s standout performances were underscored by Sarthak Chavan, who not only clinched his 5th National Championship in the Pro Stock 300-400cc category but also set a new lap record in the Electric RTE class. Riding the TVS Apache RTE, Chavan clocked a lap time of 1:45.532, highlighting the brand’s focus on innovation and performance in the electric racing space.

Key Achievements at INMRC 2024
- Pro Stock 165cc Dominance: TVS racer Jagan K. led the team to its 11th “Manufacturer and Team Championship” title.
- Pro Stock 300-400cc Category: Sarthak Chavan’s victory marked TVS’s 4th “Manufacturer Championship” win in this class, reinforcing the performance of the Apache RR310.
- Electric Racing Milestone: TVS Apache RTE broke the lap record in the Electric RTE class, showcasing the company’s strides in electric vehicle racing.
Expanding Participation in Motorsport
In addition to its victories, TVS Racing also saw success in the TVS India One Make Championship (OMC) 2024, where racers competed in five categories—Rookie, Women’s, RR310 Expert, Young Media Racer Program, and EV. TVS’s longstanding commitment to inclusivity in motorsport was further emphasized with these championships, particularly with the success of initiatives like the Young Media Racers Program, now in its 8th edition. This unique program engages young journalists with a passion for racing, offering them hands-on experience on the racetrack.
In the Young Media Racers Program’s final round, 13 media participants competed on the TVS Apache RTR 200, with Praveen Kumar from Rev Nitro securing the top spot.

Historical Dominance and Innovation
TVS Racing’s success at the INMRC is not an isolated event. With over four decades of involvement in Indian motorsport, TVS has consistently pushed the boundaries of motorcycle engineering and performance. The brand has a deep-seated philosophy of translating “track to road” technologies, with its racing innovations often trickling down to its commercial motorcycles. This year, TVS Racing introduced improvements in aero packages, engine performance, and rider safety, incorporating advanced airbag systems and FIM homologated helmets for its riders.
The Pro Stock Apache RTR 165 RP and the Apache RR310, both key players in the 2024 championship, benefited from these innovations, allowing TVS to maintain its edge over competitors.
The Road Ahead for TVS Racing
As the INMRC 2024 season wraps up, TVS Racing has once again cemented its position as a leader in Indian motorsport. However, despite this dominance on the track, the success of TVS’s racing motorcycles doesn’t always translate directly to the commercial market in India. While the Apache series enjoys a strong following, the brand has historically faced tough competition from other manufacturers in terms of overall sales volumes.
