TVS Motors seems to be planning to give electric power another go. A heavily camouflaged test mule of the TVS Jupiter electric was recently snapped by AutoCar India. The test mule was reportedly being charged in a complex in Bengaluru. The new electric engine is being tested on the TVS Jupiter’s body although we’re not sure whether the final product will resemble the 110cc scooter.

We’re yet to hear any official statement from TVS about the upcoming electric scooter. The products seems to be in early stage of production and we expect to see the final version, if not a prototype, at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi. The model is seen with drum brakes and a monoshock suspension at the rear. Just like the Jupiter scooter, the electric test mule features front apron integrated blinkers, alloy wheels and a spacious foot board. The battery pack, however, is likely to eat up some bit of underseat storage.
Mechanical specifications are scarce too but we hope to see a decent range from the electric scooter. We’d most likely hear some more details sometime in 2018, most likely at the Auto Expo. While we wait for more details, let us know your views about the TVS electric scooter through the comments section below.
