TVS has introduced an exciting new variant to its popular Apache RTR 160 lineup, named the ‘Blaze of Black’ Dark Edition.
Introduction of the Blaze of Black Dark Edition
The Apache RTR 160 Black Edition is priced at Rs. 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition is priced at Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). These new editions feature a black finish, complemented by a distinctive black TVS Apache stallion logo embossed on the tank. The exhaust is also fully blacked out, adding to the overall dark theme. Despite these aesthetic changes, the core features and specifications of both bikes remain unchanged.
Performance and Specifications
Apache RTR 160
The TVS Apache RTR 160 is powered by a 159.7 cc single-cylinder engine, which is air-cooled. The engine’s power and torque output vary depending on the selected riding mode. There are three modes available:
- Rain Mode: Offers 13.14 bhp at 8,000 rpm.
- Urban Mode: Also offers 13.14 bhp at 8,000 rpm.
- Sport Mode: Increases power output to 15.82 bhp.
The torque output also adjusts with the riding mode, and the top speed in Rain and Urban modes is reduced by 10 kmph, capping it at 97 kmph. This versatility allows riders to adapt to different road conditions and driving preferences.
Apache RTR 160 4V
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V comes with a 160 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. This engine generates an impressive 17.35 bhp at 9,250 rpm and a peak torque of 14.73 Nm. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox, ensuring smooth and efficient power delivery. Similar to the RTR 160, the RTR 160 4V also offers three riding modes:
- Rain Mode
- Urban Mode
- Sport Mode
