Mechanically, the XRx and XCx share the same 800cc in-line three-cylinder liquid cooled DOHC power plant that delivers 95 PS of power at 9300 RPM and 79Nm of torque at 7850 RPM. While the Tiger 800 XRx is ideal for road riding, the Tiger 800 XCx is packed with features that give it better off-road capabilities. Both, the XRx and XCx, receive cruise control. The models are further supplemented by the inclusion of a full Ride by Wire system that interacts with the ECU. The list of safety features include traction control and switchable ABS.

As we reported earlier, BMW is reportedly planning to locally assemble its F700 and F800 adventure motorcycles which would let it price its products more competitively. Moreover, Ducati is ready to make a come back in India. These new Tiger family products will help Triumph Motorcycles sustain competition from these upcoming models in the Indian market. Expect the prices to hover around the Rs 15 lakh mark.

  1. These 2015 tigers are CKDs in place of the older Tiger which was a CBU. By moving to CKD, Triumph India reduces duty from 60% to 30% and yet increases prices (as speculated in article, for now)
I also agree, it is daylight robber. Once the KTM 1050 Adv, the BMW F700 & 800 twins along with the Ducati range launch, Triumph India will be found adjusting prices to more realistic levels.

  2. The triumphs are amazing machines , but extremely over priced. i would rather wait for KTM or kawasaki to come up with adventure models in the 600cc to 800cc section. i am sure even BMW or ducati wont be able to get the price value to that level. I am 100% sure major chunk of adventure ready people would migrate the KTM way. Not to some over priced piece of machine.
