The fourth installment of the Transformers edition is still a good eight months away, but fans of the series have been eagerly looking forward to the progress- rather the vehicles in the latest franchisee called “Transformers 4: Age of Extinction”.

The most beloved character of the series has undoubtedly been ‘Bumblebee’ who initially was given an altmode of a Vintage 1967 Camaro SS in the upcoming movie, but later spotted as a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Concept. Though the earlier Camaros in the series were production variants, Bumblebee would now be transforming into an aerodynamic looking Camaro featuring a completely different front end, LED lights, larger air intake, special bodywork and side-skirts. As seen in the first installment of Transformers in 2008, where Bumblebee changes into a 2008 Camaro Concept from a 1976 Camaro- it’s possible that the forthcoming movie might see Bumblebee transform from a 1967 Vintage into a futuristic concept.

Michael Bay and his crew were in Hongkong filming scenes in Kowloon District which rather turned out to be an adventurous outing with Michael Bay getting injured in an attack and his team falling to extortion attempts. Fortunately the shoot was concluded without any further mishaps.

Along with Bumblebee, Hound (Oshkosh Defense Medium Tactical Vehicle) was also visible on the sets. The surprising presence was Daimler manufactured Freightliner Argosy- a new addition to the movie’s automotive cast, but whose character remains undisclosed.

On a personal note, we didn’t find the last two sequels (ROTF and DOTM) anywhere close to the first Transformers, but as motorheads- there couldn’t be any better reason than to witness these desirable sets of wheels involved in high motion metal banging action. We’re counting the days to June 27, 2014.
