TORK Motors has launched the new Urban variant of its Kratos-R bike. With this launch, the EV maker has introduced an affordable variant priced at Rs. 1.67 Lakhs Ex-showroom. The new variant has fewer features and limited range and top speed than its top variant.
TORK Kratos-R Urban: What’s new?
The new Urban variant of Kratos-R is cheaper than its top variant by Rs. 20,000. However, the design looks similar to the top variant and has 3 different colour options: Streaky Red, Oceanic Blue, and Midnight Black.
For the first 30 days, the users of TORK Kratos-R can access all the features. It includes multi-riding modes, (Eco, City & Sports), reverse mode, fast charging, in-app navigation, etc. The bike also gets more features like Bluetooth connectivity, vehicle location tracking, an anti-theft system, riding stats, guiding lights, etc.
After the period of 30 days, the electric bike will lose out on these features and support the only City riding mode as standard. However, the users can unlock these features after 30 days for Rs. 20,000 within 6 months of the period.
TORK Kratos-R Urban: Powertrain and Performance
Mechanically, there are no changes in the TORK Motors Kratos-R electric bike. The electric bike continues to use the 4.0kWh battery pack and a powerful Aflux motor. With this setup, the bike produces 12hp of power and 38nm of torque output with 96% efficiency.
In the City mode, the riding range of the electric bike is 100km on a single charge. Also, this bike has a top speed of 70km/h in City mode. However, the other variant of the Kratos-R bike has a riding range of up to 180km on a single charge and a top speed of 105km/h.
TORK Kratos-R Urban: Pricing and Booking Details
TORK Motors has launched the new Kratos-R Urban variant for Rs. 1.67 Lakhs Ex-showroom. This variant is cheaper than its range-topping version which is priced at Rs. 1.87 Lakhs Ex-showroom.
Meanwhile, TORK Motors will start the bookings of the Kratos-R Urban variant from August 15, 2023. The electric bike can be booked either online or at the dealership for a token amount of Rs. 999.
