The Revzani Beast is an Ariel Atom in supercar clothing

After almost a year of silence since its initial preview, Rezvani Motors is ready to make waves again. The California-based upstart has sent out this sneaky little teaser which they promise is a precursor to the production-ready model that will debut this May.

Designed by Samir Sadikhov – who has previously created the Aston Martin DBC and Ferrari Xerzi concepts – the Beast is essentially a reskinned Ariel Atom and sports an aggressive carbon fiber body, slender headlights and a bold rear diffuser. The model also has a removable windshield, making it somewhat akin to the Lamborghini Aventador J and, to a lesser degree, the Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Stirling Moss edition, and the whole shebang rides on 19-inch PUR RS05 wheels.

Motive power comes from two different engines. The first is a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine that produces a respectable 315bhp which enables the 666 kg Beast 300 to accelerate from 0-96 kmph in 2.9 seconds. If you need even more grunt, the Beast 500 is there for your picking, featuring a supercharged 2.4-litre engine that develops up to 500 bhp and is capable of doing the same dash in just 2.7 seconds. So yeah, this will still be as much fun as an Atom if they do it right.

Still, our friends over at Jalopnik don’t seem to be too enthused with the Rezvani. They’re suspicious of its owners’ past, and so took a trip to the factory to see if it is real or is just another vaporware. And it seems like Rezvani is actually working hard to bring the Beast to the market.

Well, if they are serious, then so can we be. After all, who can say no to an Ariel Atom that looks like this and goes like stink? Certainly not us.
