Tata Nexon EV Set to Take on K2K in 4 Days

The Ultimate Kashmir to Kanyakumari (K2K) challenge

Tata Motors has geared up for the ultimate challenge. Under this challenge, the Nexon EV will embark its arduous journey from Kashmir in the north to Kanyakumari in the south. This ambitious feat will be the ultimate test of the Nexon EV’s capabilities and endurance, showcasing the potential of sustainable mobility in India. The Kashmir to Kanyakumari challenge is a well-known endurance test that spans the length of the country, covering over 4,000 kilometers in a duration of 4 days. The challenge involves driving through various terrains, including mountainous regions, highways, and rural areas, with the harsh conditions of climate. For an electric vehicle, this challenge depicts a unique set of obstacles, including the availability of robust charging infrastructure and the range anxiety that comes with covering such long distances on a single charge.

We are excited to kick-start this enthralling journey with the Nexon EV, offering an enhanced range of 453km, in which a team of auto enthusiasts, EV believers along with my colleagues and I will be navigating through 4000 kms from North to the South of India, in the least possible time. We are aiming at clocking a 1000kms per day and I am sure that the Nexon EV will just breeze through. I am confident that this K2K drive will boost EV adoption in India, making it a mainstream choice for buyers.”

About Tata Nexon EV

Tata Nexon EV is a fully electric sub-4 metre compact SUV that boasts a range of up to 453 kilometers on a single charge and a claimed 0-100 sprint in 9 seconds. The vehicle is equipped with a 40.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a permanent magnet AC motor producing 143 PS of power output and 245 Nm of torque output. The Nexon EV also features regenerative braking technology, which helps to recharge the battery while driving. Tata Motors is offering the warranty of 8 years or 1.60 Lakh kilometres on Nexon EV. Tata Motors has brimmed the Nexon EV with plethora of features such as ABS, EBD, 2 Airbags, 5-star NCAP safety rating, ESP with i-VBAC, hill descent control, IP 67 rated battery pack and motor, auto-dimming IRVM, electronic parking brake and auto vehicle hold, ventilated leatherette seats, Harman Audio System, 7-inch infotainment system, and jeweled control knob with active display etc.
