Launched in 2017, the Tata Nexon had average monthly sales of 4,200 units in its first year. As a result, Nexon achieved a 1.50 Lakh sales milestone in 2020 within a span of 3 years. Later on, the average monthly sales bumped to 7,100 units during the 7-month period of 1.50-2 Lakh units. The significant increase in monthly sales occurred between 2-5 Lakh unit milestones, where its average monthly sales spiked to 14,000 units.

About Powertrain, Pricing, and Competition
Tata Nexon is available with turbocharged 1.2L Revotron petrol and 1.5L Revotorq diesel engines. While the former churns out 120ps and 170nm, the latter belts out 116ps and 260nm of output. Both these engines are mated to either a 6-Speed Manual Transmission or an AMT Transmission.
Currently, The Tata Nexon is priced at Rs. 7.80-14.35 Lakhs Ex-showroom. With this pricing, the Nexon has locked its horns with its rivals like Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
