We compare the technical specifications of Suzuki Gixxer SF against its prime rivals – Honda CBR150R, Yamaha R15 V2.0 and Yamaha Fazer FI V2.0 – to help you decide better. The Suzuki Gixxer SF, with its 154.9cc engine, has a slight advantage in terms of displacement than its competitors in this comparison. But it is the Honda CBR150R that has the maximum power output. The Honda CBR150R is equipped with a 149.4cc single cylinder motor which delivers 18.5PS of power at 10,5000 RPM and 12.66Nm of torque at 8,500 RPM. The Yamaha R15 V2.0 finishes at a close second with 17PS of power at 8,500 RPM and 15Nm of torque at 7,500 RPM. The newly launched Suzuki Gixxer SF manages to grab third position with power output figures standing at 14.8PS at 8,000 RPM and 14Nm at 6,000 RPM. The new fuel injected Yamaha Fazer FI V2.0 delivers 13.1PS of power at 8,000 RPM and 12.8Nm of torque at 6,000 RPM.
Suzuki surprised everyone with aggressive pricing for the Gixxer SF. The Gixxer SF is priced at Rs 83,889 which makes lands it on the top spot in terms of affordability in this comparison. The Yamaha Fazer FI V2.0, at Rs 84,300 finishes second. The Yamaha R15 V2.0 grabs the third spot with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.17 lakh while the Honda CBR150R, at Rs 1.23 lakh, is the most expensive motorcycle in this comparison.
The Honda CBR150R will soon receive a facelift but we think that the prices would also rise with the upcoming update. The Yamaha R15 V2.0 also has been around for quite some time now but has a huge fan following due to its unmatched performance. The Suzuki Gixxer 155 is a fresh product and comes equipped with company’s Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology which is claimed to deliver performance along with fuel efficiency. We believe that this should offer the Gixxer SF an edge over its competitors. But will it clock good sales? We will find out in days to come.
