[SPIED] Maruti Swift Dzire Facelift Images Surface. Launch Soon!

Seems like the arrival of some more competition, in the form of the new Hyundai Xcent, has pushed Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL), nation’s largest car maker, to speed up the development of the Maruti Swift Dzire facelift. As can be seen in the Maruti Swift Dzire facelift images we have here, the talking points of the upcoming car have to be the updated front end and features like the push button, which will come on the higher end variants. Styling changes include a new front grille, whose chrome element seems to be similar to that on the Honda Brio’s grille, smoked headlamps, and some chrome garnishing at the fog lamp enclosures.

On the inside, other than the push start button, the car is expected to get an upholstery change and Auto Up feature for the driver’s side window. Other new features could include Power folding ORVMs, keyless entry, Bluetooth and Auto headlamps. It may be noted that the Hyundai Xcent’s long features list has surely upped the ante in its segment and with the launch of the facelift, the DZire would stand as tall as the Xcent in terms of features.

Other than this, the Swift Dzire facelift could also get DRLs for the top end Z variant.  Mechanically, the car is expected to remain unchanged, which means that the 1.2 litre, four pot, normally aspirated K12B petrol engine and the 1.3 litre, four pot, turbocharged, Fiat sourced mill will continue to do duty.

Going by these images, our belief is that the Maruti Swift Dzire facelift launch will happen sometime early next month.
