The Chevrolet Enjoy has been a slow mover for the American car maker in India. Now, the Chevrolet Spin MPV has been spied on test in India for the first time. The car was clicked on its test run on the Vadodara-Halol toll road near Vadodara, Gujarat. The Chevrolet Spin is sold in Asian markets like Indonesia and Philippines and is a 7-seater.
The Chevrolet Spin measures 4360 mm in length, 1735 mm in width and 1683 mm in height. Wheelbase stands at 2620 mm and it has a ground clearance of around 157 mm. The kerb weight varies from 1213 kgs – 1277 kgs depending on the variant.
Engine options on the Spin MPV include a 1.2L 4 cylinder DOHC 16 valve dual VVTi petrol which churns out 85 BHP @ 5,600 rpm and 115 Nm of twisting force @ 4,000 rpm. A 1.5L petrol cranking out 107 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 142 Nm of torque @ 3,800 rpm is the range topping petrol motor. The Spin is also equipped with a 1.3L 4 cylinder common-rail direct injection turbo-diesel engine producing 74 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm. Transmission options globally include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
