AutoExpress Magazine has spy snapped the 2015 Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet during its test run. With the A-Class convertible now out of the Mercedes portfolio, the new C-Class Cabriolet is touted as the successor to the CLK.
Expect the new convertible to be powered with options of four and six cylinder engines in both petrol and diesel variants. Following trends off-late, a plug-in hybrid is also expected on a 4 cylinder engine and mated directly to the gearbox. What needs to be seen is whether the 2015 Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet gets a soft or hard-top.
The 2015 Mercedes C-Class would lock horns with its German counterparts- the Audi A3 Cabriolet and the BMW 2 series both in the pipeline and due for 2014 launch- who have been faring extremely well across in global sales against the three pointed star badge.
The Stuttgart based manufacture off-late seems to have been preparing itself to take the battle against its rivals. From the A45 AMG to the superhot looking CLA45 to go alongwith the new S Class spotted during tests, Mercedes seems to have got the right arsenal to claim its long lost glory. The three way battle of Deutschland is going to be extremely interesting.
