Back to the topic, the soon-to-be-launched motorcycle helmet has broken a crowdfunding site record, having amassed $2,278,049 (14 Crores INR), a whooping 900% above the initial target, becoming the most successful ever ‘wearable’ campaign on crowdfunding site Indiegogo.com
More than 1,700 AR-1s have been sold since the campaign kicked off on August 11 this year, with Skully offering the helmet in shades of matt black or gloss white in sizes ranging from S to XXL.
Skully founder and CEO Marcus Weller said: ‘We continue to be blown away by the outpouring of interest and support for the Skully AR-1.
‘The campaign has been a tremendous success and has been a true testament to the desire for innovation in safety technology. We look forward to delivering the AR-1.’
