Over the years, the Riders for Health organization have held auctions of memorabilia and VIP passes which have become famous among motorcycling fans. This time around, motorcycling fans will get the ultimate opportunity to get their hands on two pieces of racing history i.e a signed Valentino Rossi tee shirt and Jorge Lorenzo Dainese Jacket.
Even though Rossi is missing from the MotoGP action this season, his unique yellow tee shirt which has a cartoon of the world champion lying in bed with his leg in plaster, above the words ‘Torno submit’ or ‘I’ll be back soon!’ was displayed next to his bike in the pit-lane. The shirt was seen on TV screens across the world and now the fans have the chance to bid for it and take it home. Along with Rossi’s signed tee shirt, Riders for Health is also auctioning a Dainese jacket worn and signed by Lorenzo while he was at the Isle of Man this year.
The money raised from these auctions will be in the support of Riders for Health organization in Africa who are majority involved in managing and maintaining the vehicles used in the delivery of health care and other vital services in the remote rural communities of Africa.
