For years, Range Rover has been known for making some of the most iconic and luxurious SUVs in the world. Big dimensions, upright styling and premium comfort have always been part of its identity. This time, however, the brand has taken a very different route. The new Range Rover GT moves away from the familiar SUV shape and introduces a sleek fastback design with an all electric powertrain. It also becomes the fifth member of the Range Rover family and previews a fresh direction for the luxury brand.
The company has released official images of the camouflaged prototype along with the first look at the cabin. The production model is now in its final testing phase before its full global debut later this year.
Range Rover GT Exterior
Unlike other Range Rover models, the GT has a much lower stance and a long flowing roofline. It still carries the brand’s signature front styling but the side profile is completely different. Exterior highlights –

The GT is the first Range Rover to use JLR’s new EMA platform. Unlike the upcoming Range Rover Electric that sits on the MLA platform, this architecture has been developed mainly for electric vehicles.

Final Testing Underway
Prototype vehicles are currently completing road tests before production begins. The special camouflage design has been inspired by the landscape around Gaydon, where Range Rover’s design and engineering teams are based.
The GT is expected to offer the comfort of a luxury grand tourer along with the capability that the Range Rover name is known for. It also promises a quieter cabin and a spacious interior thanks to its electric platform.
