The third Southern Harley Owners Group (HOG) Rally is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad. To celebrate the occasion and connect with Harley-Davidson owners across the country, four riders from Pune would participate on a cross country ride that will culminate at the HOG Rally in Hyderabad.
The four Harley-Davidson owners from Pune would visit the Harley-Davidson brotherhood spread across the company’s 15 dealership facilities in India. The riders began their journey on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Two-Rivers Harley-Davidson dealership facility in Pune from where they will be riding to meet the Seven Islands Chapter in Mumbai and then on to Indore to meet the Tiger Chapter before heading further north. Besides travelling to all the 13 HOG Chapters, they will also be making pit stops on their way riding as far as Kashmir in the north to Kanyakumari in the south.
Over a period of 13 days, they will collectively cover more than 40,000 kilometers finally joining their fellow brothers at the 3rd Southern HOG Rally in Hyderabad.
Talking about the 13-day dream ride, Dharmendra Jain from Two-Rivers Harley-Davidson said, “We have been contemplating this ride for a long time now. And then one day we decided to let our thoughts finally take the free-way. This ride gives us an opportunity to meet our fellow brothers and visit each chapter in their own cities. The brotherhood inspired us to take on the incredible ride since we know we can depend on visiting dealerships to give us the required support and of course on our fellow brothers to show us a good time so that there is never a dull moment.”
Manoj Joshi from Bengal Harley-Davidson shared his excitement on the impending visit of Pune riders to his city, “This ride personifies the passion that every HOG member shares. The camaraderie and the shared love for riding is what bind us all together and we are excited to welcome these riders to our chapter. Hopefully, as we exchange ride stories their enthusiasm will inspire us to take on a similar ride in the future.”
The 3rd edition of Southern HOG Rally in Hyderabad will witness the largest gathering of Harley-Davidson motorcycles South India has ever seen. With more than 600 Harley owners gearing up to participate in the rally, the Pune riders are sure to have a fitting welcome on their arrival in Hyderabad.
