Polaris is easily one of the most popular off roading quad machine makers and it has recently entered the Indian market. The manufacturer will have its line up of off roaders at the 2012 Auto Expo. The Indian line up of Polaris quads includes the Sportsman ATVs, Ranger RZR Side by Side off roaders and the very capable snow mobiles.
The Sportsman range consists of quad bikes with an On Demand All Wheel Drive system that detects the loss of traction and switches on the 4 wheel drive mode. In typical heavy duty off roader fashion, the Sportsman ATVs come with an automatic transmission and offer a wide range of powerful engines. The Ranger RZR off roaders are jeeps that built only for serious off roading. The RZR range of vehicles is not road legal. Like with the Sportsman, the Ranger RZR range consists of a wide variety of vehicles that come up with single, twin and triple cylinder direct injection diesel engine configurations. These vehicles come with Electronic Power Steering (EPS), Hill Decent Control, Lockable Centre Differential and long travel suspension. Again, the vehicles have an On Demand All Wheel Drive system. With ‘out-of-the-world’ off roading capabilities like that, you won’t like to mess with the Polaeis Ranger RZR. Does not matters how capable a SUV you might be piloting.
With price points ranging from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, Polaris makes off-roading solutions for almost any requirement you may have. With an assortment of quads, snowmobiles and hardcore off-roading machines, the Polaris exhibit area at the 2012 Auto Expo will make one hell of an interesting place to be!
