Okinawa India has launched its latest offering, the Praise e-Scooter for the Indian market which is further aimed to strengthen its position in the two-wheeler segment. The Praise e-scooter is claimed to be the fastest electric scooter in the country, boasting a top speed of 75 kmph and is claimed to offer a range of 170-200 km on a single charge. The scooter was available for pre-booking from November 24, 2017 for an amount of INR 2,000. The e-scooter has been priced at INR 59,889 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The list of features on the new Praise e-scooter include:
- LED lights
- Digital speedometers to different speed modes such as Economy, Sporty and Turbo
- Telescopic front suspension
- Gas-charged rear suspension
- Stand with Anti-theft sensor
- Alloy wheels with tubeless tyres
- Mobile charging point
- Keyless start
- ‘Find My Scooter’ location tracker device
- Electronic Assist Braking System
The e-scooter will be available in:
- Glossy Purple/Black Double Tone
- Matte Blue/Black
- Matte Golden/Black
The running cost per kilometer is claimed to be just 10 paise while the maintenance cost per 15,000 kilometers is about INR 750. The e-scooter can be financed from HDFC Bank branches with loans up to 80% of the on-road price. The offer will be available on a Pan-India basis and is aimed to facilitating the growing market for e-vehicles in tier-I, II and III cities.
