The Nissan Terrano AMT, which was earlier teased with a series of Tweets, is now available for bookings. Buyers can reserve the AMT variant for INR 25,000. The automatic transmission will only be available on the top-of-the-line XVD variant. The compact SUV will come equipped with the ZF sourced Automated Manual transmission (AMT) that is also seen on the Renault Duster.
This AMT gearbox will come mated to the 1.5-litre K9K diesel motor which delivers 109 hp of power and 248 Nm of torque. The standard model will continue to use the five speed manual transmission. The six-speed AMT equipped Duster delivers a fuel economy of 19.61kpl (ARAI-certified).

Although Nissan has remained tight lipped on the pricing front, we expect the Terrano AMT to command a price tag in the same range as the Duster Easy-R-AMT which is available for Rs. 11.76 lakh (RxL) and Rs. 12.97 lakh (RxZ).
