New Next gen Hyundai Verna Red static car

Next Gen Verna Receives More than 7,000 bookings within a week of launch

While we’re busy answering questions from a lot of people if Hyundai will offer the top-of-the-line SX(O) trim with the Verna’s diesel automatic, the sedan has already garnered more than 7,000 Bookings with 70,000 enquiries since its launch in India on August 22, 2017. For the early birds, Hyundai has even promised to deliver the first 10,000 Next Gen Vernas before Diwali.

Commenting on the bookings, Mr. YK Koo, MD & CEO, HMIL said, “We are overwhelmed with strong customer response and appreciation for the Next Gen Verna within 10 days of its launch. The 5th Generation Next Gen Verna is a true expression of a super sedan which is Intelligent by Design with Human Technology Connect. It is a Trendsetter and Game changer product creating new benchmarks in its segment exceeding customer aspirations. The Next Gen Verna bookings are almost double of our monthly target, we thank our customers and reaffirm our commitment to an early delivery to the first 10,000 customers before Diwali.

Built on an all New K2 platform similar to the Elantra, The Next Gen Verna is offered with 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines which can be ticked with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. Packed with many segment-first features, the next gen Verna offers before creature comforts like cooled and ventilated front seats, a sunroof, and an Arkamys tuned audio system paired to a 7″ IPS touchscreen.

Benchmarked against the City and the Ciaz while it was being tested extensively in the country, Hyundai has spent more than INR 1,040 crore to develop the 5th gen Verna and all of that shows in the way this sedan moves now. It now feels more European in the way it drives and most of the shortcomings on the older gen car have been ironed out. Space might be an issue for some, but the car makes up for it with everything else.
