The upcoming Toyota Etios facelift has been fully revealed in new spy images. The Etios’s mid-cycle refresh involves certain styling updates, mildly revamped interiors and additional features. Aesthetically, the Etios facelift gets a more expressive, sculpted front bumper with chrome trimmings and bigger intakes. The new bumper is complemented with a slimmer grille, newly designed wheels and a redesigned rear bumper.
Inside, the new Etios facelift gets a revised instrument cluster (still centrally mounted) which features new graphics and a digital tachometer. Top-end VX models are also said to feature a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, a dual tone dashboard (ivory + grey), brand new seats, powered mirrors, and a foldable, central armrest for the rear seat. As for safety, the face-lifted Etios will come with twin airbags, ABS and EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution) as standard across all variants.
The Etios facelift also gets a new chrome applique on the boot, along with new reflectors.
The Etios facelift will continue to be powered by the existing line-up of engines, which includes the 1.5-litre petrol engine good for 90 PS and 132 Nm of torque, along with the 1.4-litre turbo-diesel engine rated at 68 PS and 170 Nm of torque. Both engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. The reports further claims that Toyota has made improvements to the clutch system in the diesel variants, while the front suspension on all variants has been tweaked for better ride quality.
