New Royal Enfield Classic 350 Unveiled, Launches September 1st

Royal Enfield has officially unveiled the 2024 Classic 350, with the launch scheduled for September 1, 2024. This iconic motorcycle, a key pillar of Royal Enfield’s success since its introduction in 2009, receives a comprehensive update for the new model year, blending timeless design with modern enhancements.

Design and Aesthetic Updates

The current-generation Classic 350, which was introduced in 2021 and built on the J platform, has been a significant sales driver for Royal Enfield. The 2024 model builds on this success by introducing a range of aesthetic upgrades while retaining its signature classic silhouette. The new model offers a vibrant color palette with seven fresh options: Dark Green with contrast chrome, Commando Sand, Emerald, Jodhpur Blue, Madras Red, Medallion Brown, and Stealth Black. Adding to the modern appeal, the bike features a blacked-out exhaust and engine, giving it a sleek, updated look.

Feature Enhancements

The 2024 Classic 350 is equipped with several key updates designed to enhance rider convenience and comfort. One of the standout additions is a full LED lighting system, somewhat similar to the design seen on the Guerrilla 450 and Super Meteor 650. This brings a modern touch to the motorcycle while improving visibility. The inclusion of adjustable clutch and brake levers allows for a more customized riding experience, and a USB charging port ensures that riders can keep their devices powered on the go.

While the motorcycle retains its familiar analogue instrument cluster, Royal Enfield has made the Tripper navigation pod standard on the top-tier Stealth and Emerald variants, offering it as an optional accessory for other models.

Performance and Mechanical Specifications

Mechanically, the 2024 Classic 350 remains consistent with its predecessor. It continues to be powered by the reliable 349cc single-cylinder engine that produces 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. The suspension and braking components are also carried over, with lower variants featuring a disc-drum setup and higher trims equipped with a rear disc and dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.

Pricing and Market Positioning

As expected, the 2024 Classic 350 will be priced slightly higher than the outgoing model, which currently starts at ₹1.93 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). This update positions the Classic 350 to compete directly with rivals such as the Honda CB350 and Jawa 350, offering a blend of classic design and modern features that appeal to a broad range of riders.
