Powering the S63 AMG is a 5.5 litre V8 Biturbo motor which belts out 577 hp at 5500 RPM and 900 Nm of torque available between 2250 and 3750 RPM, which propels the S63 AMG to 100km/h from standstill in 4.4 seconds (4.0 seconds for the 4Matic LWB model) and accelerates to its limited top speed of 250 km/h.

This high-performance version of the latest luxurious S-Class is available with the Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive system which has
been tuned by AMG considering the performance aspect.  According toMercedes  Benz, 33 percent of engine torque is transferred to the front axle and 67 percent to the rear axle. Available only in the long-wheelbase model, the 4Matic system helps the S 63 AMG to attain the aforementioned performance figures.

The fuel consumption figures stand at 10.1 l/100 km (23.3 mpg US), credit going to being lighter by a whole 100 kgs than its
predecessor. Weight loss has been acheived by using aluminium for the roof and the front body. Also, a lightweight lithium-ion
battery, a weight-optimized AMG composite braking system and AMG forged light-alloy wheels help in shedding the extra kilos.

The V8 engine is mated to an AMG Speedshift MCT 7-speed transmission that has three modes: “C” (Controlled Efficiency), “S” (Sport)
and “M” (Manual) for those manual lovers.

Equipment list includes AMG door sill panels, AMG floor mats, AMG sports pedals made from brushed stainless steel with rubber studs, ambience lighting, Attention Assist, Collision Prevention Assist, Comand Online, 10 loudspeakers with Frontbass, metallic paintwork, tire pressure loss warning system and LED High Performance headlamps.

The S63 AMG will be available in Europe this month and will be priced starting from €149,880 in Germany for the short-wheelbase model and €152,617 for the long-wheelbase.

In the USA, it will be available exclusively with the longer wheelbase and 4MATIC and will be on floor in November at a
starting MSRP of $139,500.
