Mini is working on the new generation of Cooper. As per the information, the brand will stop sales of its ICE models by 2030 and will become an all-electric brand. Now, a few spy shots of new generation Cooper has surfaced online without any camouflage.

The exterior of the New Mini Cooper
Recently, a few spy shots of the new generation Mini Cooper has been leaked online. These images clearly depict the exterior profile of the new generation Mini Cooper electric hatchback. This car resembles the current generation with its iconic design language. Mini has tweaked its track for more width and enlarged the wheelbase and this car sits on larger wheels.
Upfront, the new Mini Cooper features a large new grille with a white surround, a small air dam and S logo on a black strip, Round LED Headlights, and a new hood. On the side profile, the new Cooper does have no bulky claddings but has a sedate profile with striking alloy wheels. At the rear, the new Mini Cooper gets a large windscreen, triangular LED taillights, and plain bumpers with vertical reflectors. Meanwhile, the tailgate features a black strip emerged with taillights and the Cooper S moniker.

Interior and Features
The interiors of the new Mini Cooper are yet to be unveiled. However, it is expected that the interior will also follow the sedate design language of its exterior profile. Certain elements like traditional ignition key starters, physical buttons, and switches will be used to control its important parts. This car will also have a traditional Mini Circular Display brimmed with the infotainment system. The traditional gauge cluster will be replaced by a new funky display to be located behind the steering wheel.
About Powertrains of New Cooper
The new generation Mini Cooper Electric will be available in 3 different variants. Powering the Mini Cooper Electric will be an axle-mounted motor and a 40-45kWh battery pack. The regular S variant will feature the 181hp state of tune, supposed to be as quick as the current Cooper S petrol and Abarth 500e. The Cooper S will reach 0-100km/h in 7 seconds.
Meanwhile, the Cooper SE will have a more powerful 215hp state of tune, warmed up to serve in the nascent electric hot hatch segment. And the range-topping JCW will feature the highest state of tune of 250hp of power output. The JCW will be the fastest of the Mini Cooper EV lot. The regular Cooper S will feature a 40kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 240 miles. While the other variants will be propelled by a larger 45kWh battery pack and a claimed range of up to 300 miles.
The ICE version of Cooper will feature two engines. The standard variant will feature a 1.5L turbo petrol engine, while the Cooper S variant will be powered by a larger 2.0L turbo petrol engine. These engines will be tweaked for the best balance between efficiency and performance.
