MY23 Kawasaki Ninja 650 Launched

India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. (IKM) announced the launch of a new MY23 Ninja 650 at ₹7.12 lakh ex-showroom

Kawasaki India Motors Pvt. Ltd. (IKM) on November 15 announced the release of the new Ninja 650 for the MY23 model year that has been modified with the KRTC (Kawasaki Traction Control) technology. The style and design of the 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650 are carried over to the new generation. It has an angular fascia with a split LED headlight, glass windscreen, and bulb indicators on either side. The latter is included in the motorcycle’s side fairing.

KRTC

The Kawasaki Traction Control system is the 2023 Ninja 650’s most important feature improvement. By offering an additional safety net in addition to ABS, it should make riding the bike convenient for newer riders. The new KRTC has two levels and can be totally disabled.

Powertrain and Features

Kawasaki installed the same 649cc parallel twin motor with a 64Nm and 67bhp output rating. It is coupled to a six-speed transmission that hasn’t been changed at all. The 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 650 includes a 4.3-inch TFT with smartphone connectivity via the Kawasaki Rideology app in addition to LED lighting and traction control.

The telescopic front forks and connected rear shock are still part of the hardware, as is the trellis frame mounted on them. Dual 300mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS make up the Ninja 650’s braking system. It is mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels with Dunlop 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres. The 2023 Ninja 650 is only available from Kawasaki India in Lime Green. And the new model commands a premium of Rs 17,000 over the prior asking price of Rs 6.95 lakh.
