Some prefer riding to their dream destination, irrespective of the distance involved but others prefer to transport their vehicles to save time and energy. The latter didn’t work too well for bikers who transported their vehicles to Manali from Kerala. In a video posted on social networking website, Facebook, motorcyclists have alleged that their Royal Enfield motorcycles suffered extensive damages during transit by GATI-KWE.
The motorcyclists have alleged that their Royal Enfield motorcycles suffered extensive damage to various parts such as fuel tank, fenders and other body panels during transportation. The motorcycles, as seen in the video, were wrapped to protect paint and body panels during transit but that did not help much. In fact, one of the motorcycles can be seen lying on the side of the road while other suffered a broken exhaust. There is no official statement from GATI-KRE about the matter yet.

How should you make sure of safe transport of your prized possession?
Firstly, read reviews and learn from others’ experience with the service providers and opt for the one with maximum customer satisfaction. Secondly, buy your own quality wrapping material like bubble wrap and cardboard or foam blocks. Also, make sure to carry good quality harness and cable ties too. Lastly, if available, opt for cage transport as it is one of the safest ways to transfer your motorcycle.
