MINI Aceman electric crossover Suv Unveiled

MINI has unveiled the 2025 MINI Aceman electric crossover, positioned between the Cooper and Countryman models

Quirky Styling and Design

The 2025 MINI Aceman boasts funky styling with uniquely shaped design choices that set it apart from traditional crossovers. At the Beijing Motor Show 2024, MINI revealed the Aceman’s distinctive features, including LED DRLs, Matrix rear taillights with three modes and graphics, and a redesigned Union Jack-themed taillight. The closed grille, reminiscent of the new-gen MINI Cooper hatchback, adds to the Aceman’s imposing stance, while retractable door handles and beveled rear glass enhance aerodynamics. Lower body cladding provides visual heft and a rugged feel, making the Aceman stand out on any road.

Interior Features and Technology

Inside the cabin, the MINI Aceman continues to impress with its quintessential MINI treatment. A new round 9.5-inch OLED infotainment screen, powered by the latest MINI OS 9, takes center stage, offering seamless connectivity and intuitive controls. Physical buttons, including toggle switches for the gear selector, stop/start button, parking brake, mode selector, and music volume, provide tactile feedback and a retro-inspired feel. Additional features such as wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and voice commands for driving functions enhance the overall driving experience.

Variants and Powertrain Options

MINI offers the Aceman in two variants: E and SE. The Aceman E features a single electric motor producing 181 bhp and 290 Nm of torque, while the more powerful Aceman SE boasts 214 bhp and 330 Nm of torque. Both variants offer spirited performance, with the Aceman E accelerating from 0-100 kmph in 7.9 seconds and the SE variant achieving the same feat in just 7.1 seconds. Additionally, the Aceman E comes equipped with a 42.5 kWh battery, offering a range of 310 km, while the SE variant boasts a larger 54.2 kWh battery with a range of 406 km (WLTP Cycle). Charging the Aceman is a breeze, with a 10-80% charge achievable in just 30 minutes via a 95 kW fast charger.

Availability and Conclusion

While the MINI Aceman is set to enter production later this year, its availability in the Indian market remains uncertain. However, with its practicality and unique design, the Aceman could offer a compelling alternative to the MINI Cooper hatchback.
