MG SELECT Kicks Off ‘The SELECT Art’ Across India

MG SELECT, the luxury lifestyle and mobility wing of JSW MG Motor India, has launched a fresh cultural initiative titled ‘The SELECT Art’. The program, in collaboration with OffBeet Media Group and led by contemporary visual artist Sidhant Gandhi, aka ‘TooSid’, brings together a diverse set of artists from 13 cities.

The idea? Blend mobility with meaning. At a time when car showrooms are turning into lifestyle hubs, MG SELECT’s experience centres aim to double as modern art galleries. From abstract pieces to culturally-rooted installations, the initiative offers an unfiltered look at how a new generation of creatives views the world.

Spotlight on Self-Expression

Each of the 14 selected artists was commissioned to create a work exploring themes of individuality, innovation, and purposeful design—values that MG SELECT claims are central to its brand. These works will be displayed at MG SELECT showrooms, which are far from your conventional dealerships.

Expect immersive experiences, curated conversations, and gallery-style showcases. It’s less about hard sells and more about soft culture.

TooSid, known for his sharp and often satirical take on society, leads the curation. With a background in surrealism, digital art, and cultural commentary, his involvement adds depth and relevance to the campaign.

Beyond the Gallery

The initiative isn’t just a visual spectacle. At the end of the campaign’s first year, all artworks will be auctioned. A portion of the proceeds will fund women and girl-focused community welfare projects under the MG Sewa banner.

This crossover between commerce and community is something MG SELECT seems keen to build on. The project also dovetails with the recent unveilings of the MG M9 and Cyberster EVs—both pushing the brand’s EV agenda wrapped in luxury and design.

Final Thoughts

Art in a car showroom? Sounds like a scene from a sci-fi future where your EV charges while you admire an abstract that looks like your weekend mood. MG SELECT is clearly trying to prove it’s not just about selling wheels—it’s about setting the vibe. And if that vibe involves good design, deep conversations, and actual social impact, well… we’ll take it over another bland coffee machine and brochure rack any day.
