Just yesterday we showcased you the leaked pictures of the new Mercedes M-Class and today Mercedes Benz has officially unveiled the first snaps of their 2012 M-Class.
The 2012 M-Class is not all about exterior design it is more about the interior luxury and space. Mercedes Benz has done all their homework and kept no stone unturned for the luxurious interior of this car which draws inspiration from their very own S-Class. There is ample wood thrown in everywhere around the dashboard and the icing on the cake is the optional panoramic sunroof .
This car is going to make it first physical appearance at the Frankfurt Auto Show later this year. We can expect three engine Mercedes will offer namely the 2.1 lit 4-cylinder diesel which produces 204PS of power and 500Nm of torque. The second engine option is also a diesel engine which is substantially large; we are talking about the all-time favourite 3.5-lit V6 diesel engine which produces an amazing 306PS of torque and a thundering 619Nm of torque. Lastly there is a petrol option which is the much larger 3.5 lit V6 petrol engine developing 306PS of power and 370Nm of torque. All these engines will be matted to the 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission with 4-Matic all-wheel drive system.
The 2012 M-Class is also packed with a lot of tech goodies like the Night View Assist Plus (with pedestrian recognition), Speed Limit Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Active Park Assist and Distronic Plus. There is selective damping suspension and if you wish you can order for a Airmatic self-levelling air suspension and an Active Curve system with dynamic roll stabilization.
