Mercedes-Benz India has officially unveiled the all-new Long Wheelbase (LWB) E-Class, continuing its legacy as the most successful luxury saloon in India. Known for its blend of technology, comfort, and refined driving experience, the latest iteration of the E-Class LWB introduces new innovations, setting a benchmark in the business limousine segment.
Key Features and Variants
The 6th-generation E-Class LWB is available in three variants—E200, E220d, and E450 4MATIC—offering customers a variety of choices in powertrains. The model features Mercedes-Benz’s latest technological advancements, including the third-generation MBUX Superscreen, a digital interface providing immersive interaction and personalization across 12 display styles. Notable among its features is an AI-enabled interface that offers “personalized routines,” which automate user preferences and tasks.
The vehicle also introduces an in-car selfie and video camera, allowing passengers to make video calls directly from the dashboard. The Burmester® 4D Surround Sound System provides an exceptional audio experience with 17 speakers, powered by a 730-watt system, enhancing the cabin environment.
Rear-seat passengers are treated to class-leading comfort, with seats that recline up to 36 degrees, extendable thigh support, and a chauffeur package. The focus on passenger comfort continues with features like comfort neck pillows, sunblinds that can be controlled via MBUX, and enhanced climate control systems.

India-Specific Enhancements
Uniquely, the LWB E-Class launched in India features several adaptations tailored to local driving conditions. Mercedes-Benz has optimized the suspension, branded as Agility Control, to better handle India’s roads, ensuring a smooth and stable ride for both drivers and passengers. The car also includes locally produced side and quarter glass components, highlighting the brand’s efforts toward increased localization.
Notably, this is the only right-hand-drive (RHD) market globally where the E-Class LWB is manufactured, reinforcing Mercedes-Benz India’s strong local presence. The new model has undergone global crash and emission tests in Spain and Germany to ensure compliance with the brand’s stringent quality standards.

Safety and Technology
Safety continues to be a priority for the new E-Class, which is equipped with 8 airbags, including a first-ever front center airbag. The car also comes with the PRE-SAFE® safety system and Blind Spot Assist, among other advanced driver assistance features.
The interior has also undergone a design evolution, featuring a MBUX Superscreen that integrates seamlessly across the dashboard, with simpler, color-coded icons for ease of use. The electronic architecture of the new E-Class is now more software-driven, resulting in improved data stream performance.
