Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line, replacing the previous entry-level diesel variant. The new model is priced at Rs 97.85 lakh (ex-showroom) and boasts a range of AMG-inspired cosmetic enhancements that elevate its sporty character.
Exterior Upgrades
The GLE 300d AMG Line stands out with its distinctive AMG body styling, featuring a dark grey matte single-louver grille accented by chrome elements and a diamond pattern with the Mercedes-Benz star. This design aligns with the brand’s “Sensual Clarity” philosophy, blending elegance and athleticism.

Additional AMG-specific elements include:
- 20-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels in tremolite grey
- Upgraded braking system
- AMG rear apron with diffuser-look inserts
- AMG front apron with chrome trim
- Sportier air inlets
These enhancements, along with the vehicle’s overall design, create a more dynamic and visually appealing SUV. The AMG Line package adds a premium of Rs 1.2 lakh over the previous GLE 300d.
Interior Refinements
Inside, the GLE 300d AMG Line features the latest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system, offering advanced digital controls for vehicle and comfort functions. A premium Burmester surround sound system with 13 speakers and 590-watt output enhances the audio experience.
Powerful Performance
Under the hood, the GLE 300d AMG Line retains the proven 2.0-liter, mild-hybrid turbo-diesel engine. Delivering 265 bhp and 550 Nm of torque, with an additional 20 bhp and 220 Nm boost from the integrated starter generator, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 230 km/h. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox and 4MATIC all-wheel drive.

With the introduction of the GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line, Mercedes-Benz India aims to strengthen its position in the luxury SUV segment by offering customers a sportier and more visually appealing option.
