Maruti Suzuki Announces Fresh Price Hike
Maruti Suzuki has informed the stock exchanges that it will raise prices across its passenger vehicle range from August 2026. The company said the increase can go up to Rs 30,000, although the final amount will depend on the model and variant.
The company explained that the decision has been taken because manufacturing costs have continued to rise. It added that several internal cost saving measures were tried over the past few months, but rising expenses have made a price revision necessary.

Second Price Increase This Year
This is the second portfolio wide price revision by Maruti Suzuki in 2026. The company had also increased prices from June this year. At that time, it had cited higher raw material costs and inflation as the main reasons behind the decision.
The latest announcement shows that cost pressures are still affecting vehicle production despite the company’s efforts to reduce expenses through internal efficiency measures.
Sales Continue To Stay Strong
Even with earlier price revisions, Maruti Suzuki has maintained healthy sales. The company sold 2,00,390 units in June 2026. This included 1,50,150 units in the domestic market and 42,768 units in export markets. In May 2026, Maruti Suzuki recorded its highest ever monthly sales with 2,42,688 units.
